A teenager who truly wants a better life must put God first in what so ever thing he does. This means seeking to know Him through His word, prayer, and obedience. When a young person chooses to follow God early in life, it helps shape their character and decisions in a strong and righteous way.
The Bible encourages this by saying, “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth” (Ecclesiastes 12:1).
A teenager must accept and ready to discipline his or her self to live a good life that pleases God. This includes avoiding bad influences, controlling desires, and choosing what is right even when it is difficult. God calls young people to be examples in how they speak, act, and think.
“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).
