Anniversary Photo Session

We're less than a month away from our 20th anniversary, and although all the members of this choir have different years of experience, together we've built this long musical history. Personally, I'm about to celebrate my ninth year here, almost half the time we've been involved since the project's inception, and I'm increasingly thrilled by all the experiences and lessons I've learned from being a part of it. Today I want to share some photos I took with my own phone during a photoshoot leading up to the anniversary celebration. These #TBT photos are from four weeks ago.
Sopranos:

I still believe our artistic life is very beautiful. Our names may not be as popular or well-known as those of many great artists, but the group's name resonates both within the country and beyond our borders, as this group has had seven international tours, although I've only participated in two. For me, going to work is doing what I've loved most since childhood: singing and taking on interesting musical challenges through the repertoire, reading the lyrics, and performing them. A typical day at work simply means putting on our best outfits and having a photo shoot, like the example I'm sharing with you today.
Contraltos:

Our work is very varied. In a week, we usually have singing lessons, repertoire reading, musical performances, ensembles, orchestra rehearsals, concerts, visits to community centers, and some of us teach in other parts of the city. It seems like a lot of work, and it is, but for me, it's very enjoyable. I think the most difficult times were the initial preparation and studying music for so many years to become part of a project like this. Perhaps the most intense aspect is staying active and prepared to maintain our stability here, because talent and singers are abundant in Venezuela, so we always have to demonstrate that we are at the forefront of whatever is required for music to thrive.
Tenors:

With this photoshoot from last month, I'm kicking off the journey leading up to our anniversary next May. That day was a lot of fun, although I confess it's not easy getting so many people to coordinate at the same time so the pictures come out quickly. Photoshoots are repetitive: striking different poses and moving around, with changing lights and outfits, and paying close attention to instructions. It's a bit like the parade we do to enter and exit the stage when we have concerts, because in addition to the music, there's an image we have to maintain, an image that's been 20 years in the making, and those of us who are new to the company have to quickly incorporate it into our routine.
Bass:

My wife took the photo of the tenors because I was posing with the boys at the time, and for obvious reasons, I don't have photos of the entire choir, but I'm sure I'll share them with this community in the future as a memento. These images will be used to update the faces of those of us who are here at this stage of history and for future tours, videos, and programs planned for the next phase, which begins in May. Many surprises are coming, and I just hope to continue giving my best and contributing to the group's success so that I can continue to be happy in this beautiful artistic work that continues to make history in my country ๐
