A form of resistance to change.
For example, if my story tells me that chronic stress led to total burnout, why do I keep accepting commitments that I can't keep?.
Even if it hurts, the answer usually lies in the lack of metacognition or the ability to observe or recognize our own thought processes.
If we do NOT stop to analyze our trajectory, we are doomed to be carbon copies of our past mistakes.
Much of my life I was so busy trying to "get there" that I forgot about myself while chasing things that I am still looking for TODAY, by the way, getting closer to reaching the portal of 65 years, and more.
The big difference between that rigid and feisty woman with my ME today, is that now I enjoy EVERYTHING more by doing it the same vehemently but enjoying even despite the obstacles.
In the same way, I feel full, because anxiety no longer restricts my smile. I do not look for success to validate myself; I find joy in my evolution and see day by day how I begin to notice, what I have flourished... Thank God.
Real well-being is born from service, in the simplicity of life and human connection, life is this, healthy skin, hands that work with hope and the certainty of the essential that has always been in front of us. I also think that the true champions, the high-level doers, don't have time to criticize. They are too busy building, helping and growing.
If we have chosen the role of critical observers, we are stagnating. Even worse, we could be using criticism to absolve ourselves of responsibility for our own inactivity, lack of initiative, lack of creativity and a super boring life.
As some people say "take care of your life, stop criticizing others". I really don't have a shred of time to get involved in other people's lives, and if I did, I would invest it more in myself. They always criticize for that, I don't work hard, I don't worry, I don't try to please anyone.
I'm just doing the best I can and it's not easy to win the battle for yourself. Moderation, self-control and that effort to improve the quality of our thoughts, to strengthen our will to be constant and courageous, should be a daily effort. With this, we will not only improve our mental health by always being a better version of ourselves, but we will also move forward without giving rise to so many traumatic situations.
We have to stop looking, let the one outside improve, because the matter is only inside us. It's not about making others feel good but about feeling proud that I genuinely give 100% in any circumstance.
