Hello everyone, with so many anime constantly being released, it's sometimes difficult to choose which ones to watch each season and whether they'll be a good choice. Among so many categories and common plots, the recent isekai genre is something I rarely watch. While some of them share the same theme of a person traveling or something similar, few manage to hook me. I always look for something that makes me laugh or has some element that makes me enjoy it. However, in the recently concluded season, there was one anime whose intriguing plot managed to attract me, so today I'll give you my opinion on "Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai."
Hola a todos, con tanta variedad de animes en constante publicación, es a veces difícil elegir cuáles veremos en cada temporada y si estos llegan a ser una elección acertada. Y bueno, entre tantas categorías y tramas habituales, el tema de los isekai recientes suele ser algo que veo muy poco, ya que en algunos, aunque se sabe que tendrán la misma temática de la persona que viaja o algo similar, pocas son las que llegan a engancharme, ya que algo que siempre busco es que o me haga reír o tengan algún elemento que haga que me guste. Y entre estas, en la temporada recientemente finalizada, hubo uno que por su curiosa trama logró atraerme, por lo que hoy les daré mi opinión acerca de "Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai".
Created by Yatsuki Wakatsu and illustrated by Kikka Ohashi, the series began as a light novel published online and later through a publisher. It was then adapted into a manga in B's Log Comic magazine, spanning six volumes and still ongoing. An anime adaptation, directed by Shinji Ishihira and produced by Studio Deen, premiered in January of this year and is licensed by Crunchyroll, consisting of 12 episodes. The story centers on two young people who are sent to an alternate world where fantasy and magic reign supreme, tasked with saving and purifying the kingdom.
Creada por Yatsuki Wakatsu e ilustrada por Kikka Ohashi, siendo en sus inicios una serie de novela ligera publicada en línea y posteriormente a través de la editorial, pasando luego a una versión manga a través de la revista B's Log Comic, acoplándose a un total de 6 volúmenes y aún en publicación, y posteriormente teniendo una adaptación al anime en enero de este año, dirigida por Shinji Ishihira y bajo el Studio Deen, además de licenciada por Crunchyroll, con un total de 12 episodios. Nos centramos entonces en la trama donde un par de jóvenes son enviados a un mundo alternativo donde el eje central es la fantasía y magia, y la misión es ayudar a salvar el reino y purificarlo.
The issue here involves the two summoned individuals: Seiichirō Kondō, our protagonist, was summoned by mistake. The other person, a girl, was actually the one summoned to act as a saint and use her magic to purify the realms. As a consequence, Seiichirō struggles to adapt to this new world, developing a weakness to magical particles—natural airborne particles that trigger a debilitating reaction, even bringing him to the brink of death. Initially, he doesn't realize this and focuses entirely on his work. Indeed, this is where the peculiarity of this character lies: being a stereotypical Japanese accountant, he is completely dedicated to his work, neglecting his health from the start. Upon arriving in this world, his personal mission becomes to adapt and stabilize the kingdom, using his knowledge to create a more orderly and stable environment.
La cosa acá es de los dos invocados: Seiichirō Kondō, siendo nuestro prota, fue invocado por error, ya que realmente la otra persona, siendo una chica, era la que realmente había sido llamada para actuar como santa y que con su magia pudiera purificar las mandas, cosa que, como consecuencia, Seiichirō no logra compaginarse con este nuevo mundo, creando una debilidad a las llamadas mágicas, siendo partículas naturales que están en el aire y que le llegan a causar una reacción que lo debilita totalmente, al punto de incluso llevarlo al borde de la muerte, cosa que en un inicio este no se percata y se centra de lleno en su trabajo, porque sí, acá es donde está la peculiaridad de este personaje y es que, al ser un estereotipo de contador japonés, está totalmente centrado en esto, al punto de estar descuidando su salud desde siempre y, al llegar a este mundo, su misión personal será ir acomplando y adaptando el reino a algo más estable y ordenado desde su conocimiento.
And this is partly what makes the protagonist stand out, as it offers a different take on the typical hero, showing how an office worker manages to unravel the kingdom's mystery through his calculations and clano. It's also worth noting that this anime is in the yaoi genre (albeit quite subtle), which we see reflected in how the protagonist gradually becomes the co-protagonist's favorite, taking it upon himself to heal him and help him build the necessary defenses against magic, much like a couple slowly developing feelings for each other. Even so, the protagonist's relationship, the central plot, and the anime's unique style are all well-balanced, so it never becomes overwhelming.
Y en parte es una de las cosas en las que destaca el prota, ya que es una visión distinta de este héroe que ya se suele ver, para pasar a cómo un oficinista logra develar el misterio del reino con sus cálculos y claro. No dejar de lado el tema de que este anime es también del género yaoi (pero bastante sutil), cosa que en efecto veremos cómo este se irá convirtiendo en el consentido del coprotagonista, quien se encargará de sanarlo y ayudarlo a crear las defensas necesarias contra las mágicas al mejor estilo de una pareja que va poco a poco interesándose uno en el otro. Aun así, se logra equilibrar bien el tema de la relación del prota, la trama central y la forma peculiar que caracteriza a este anime, por lo que no llega a saturar en absoluto.
It also has a touch of comedy that complements it quite well, and personally, the protagonist's character, being so distinct and strong, isn't the kind-hearted figure we're used to in this type of isekai, or where they have to build themselves up from scratch. Instead, he uses his knowledge and takes it to another level, making him completely captivating and even showing a somewhat calculating style. These points caught my attention as I watched each episode, and personally, I would like to see a second season. Así mismo, tiene un toque de comedia que llega a complementar bastante bien y, personalmente, el carácter del prota, al ser tan marcado y fuerte, no es la figura amable que estamos acostumbrados en este tipo de isekai o donde tienen que fortalecerse desde cero, sino que este usa su conocimiento y lo lleva a otro nivel, haciendo que sea completamente llamativo y que incluso veamos un estilo un poco calculador, por lo que estos puntos fueron llamando mi atención a medida que veía cada capítulo, y personalmente, sí me gustaría llegar a ver una segunda temporada, por lo que, bueno, en resumen, es más que recomendada, y sin más que decir y esperando sea de su agrado, muchas gracias por leer.
