Road Mishap & Such

We were en route to the capital around mid-morning when we caught a heavy traffic due to an accident.
It turned out that a commuter van tried to overtake a bus at a blind spot (curved section) then bam! It collided with another UV traversing the other side of the highway. Both vehicles had serious damages on the front side—shattered windshield, doors destroyed, etc (I caught a partial shot of the vehicles, but were too blurry to share). Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt.
It is crazy how another driver's recklessness causes trouble and hassle to others. The police came after some time. People helped and moved one of the vans to the other side of the road to give way for light vehicles to pass through. Big trucks and ten wheelers will have to wait though.
We got through and went on carefully with our journey. We felt hungry after driving for a while, and realized it was already midday. We were glad to find an open foodhouse some 40 kilometers away. We pulled over and the hubby went out to check their menu. He came back saying he ordered. Okay, let's go eat then!
For the first time in a long while, he got us a platter of fried milkfish. No, he wasn't tired of meat, he still ordered a serving of stir-fried pork (not even a sight of green on the sides, lol!)
Meanwhile, the LilGuy couldn't hide his excitement when we arrived at the capital. He must recognize the place, as we had been coming here almost every week in Feb-March. We often take the Strawberry Field route, where he can view fields of veggies and strawberries.
Anyway, we will spend the night here, run errands tomorrow, and perhaps have coffee with my best friend too!
