A few days ago, I visited Caracas, the capital city, and had the opportunity to explore the university district where the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) is located.

This modern complex of buildings is a true showcase of artistic architecture, featuring varied and bold designs that leave a pleasant impression on everyone who visits this university campus.

This expansive site houses the university’s various schools, several administrative offices, and sports, cultural, and healthcare facilities.

It was a pleasant surprise for me to see such a wide variety of colorful designs and eye-catching shapes as soon as we entered the city. Plus, the green spaces give it that rustic feel and create a very peaceful atmosphere for the students.

What caught my attention most was the architectural design of the university hospital, not only because of the semicircular shapes at the ends of the hallways, but also because of the blue and red tones used for the façade, which blend harmoniously with the rest of the urban landscape.

The interior of the university features well-organized corridors surrounded by gardens dominated by grass and flowers. The entrance, lined with numerous trees that stand like guardians, offers a warm welcome to those passing through the area.

We took advantage of the visit to go to the UCV’s administrative offices to ask some questions about the graduate programs offered there. This is because my daughter will be graduating with her medical degree in a few months and wants to get a head start on the process for her residency.

I enjoyed the tour of the hospital facilities from start to finish. Everything was very well maintained and organized, so much so that it reminded me of my life as a college student and made me want to go back to school, haha.

I am pleased to have visited this masterpiece of a building where all the university departments are housed, and I would like to return at a more leisurely pace to finish the tour, since it is quite a large area and you can’t see it all in a single day. Thank you for joining me on this brief but very pleasant walk through this university setting where my country’s professionals are trained.

Conociendo la ciudad universitaria de Caracas

Saludos estimados amigos de esta importante comunidad que nos ayuda a conocer la geografía mundial a través de las imágenes. Espero que estén disfrutando de un excelente inicio del fin de semana.

En días pasados estuve de visita en Caracas, la ciudad capital y tuve la oportunidad de conocer la ciudad universitaria donde funciona la Universidad central de Venezuela UCV.

Este moderno complejo de edificios es una verdadera muestra de una arquitectura artística con variados y atrevidos diseños que causan una agradable impresión a todos los que visitan este campus universitario.

Este extenso lugar alberga las diferentes facultades de la universidad, varias dependencias administrativas, servicios deportivos, culturales y hospitalarios.

Para mi fue una agradable sorpresa admirar toda esta variedad de diseños con diverso colorido y formas que llaman la atención desde que entramos en la ciudad. Además las áreas verdes le dan ese aspecto tan campestre y que transmite mucha paz a los estudiantes de las facultades.

Lo que mas llamó mi atención fue el diseño arquitectónico del hospital universitario, no solo por esas formas semi circulares en que terminan los pasillos, sino por los tonos azules y rojos que usaron para la fachada y que se ajustan armoniosamente con el resto del paisaje urbano.

El interior de la universidad muestra corredores muy bien estructurados y rodeados por jardines donde predomina la grama y las flores. La entrada con gran cantidad de árboles que aparecen como guardianes, le dan un gran recibimiento a las personas que transitan por esa zona.

Aprovechamos la visita para trasladarnos a la parte administrativa de la UCV a fin de hacer algunas preguntas referentes a los post grados que allí dictan. Esto porque ya dentro de unos meses mi hija va a recibir su grado de médico cirujano y quiere adelantar trámites para su especialización.

Disfruté el recorrido por las instalaciones del hospital de principio a fin. Todo estaba muy bien mantenido y ordenado, tanto que me hizo recordar mi vida de estudiante universitario y me dieron ganas de seguir estudiando ja.ja.

Me siento complacido de haber visitado esta obra de arte donde funcionan todas estad dependencias universitarias y me gustaría volver con mas calma para terminar el recorrido, ya que es un área bastante extensa y no se termina de conocer en un día. Gracias por acompañarme en esta breve pero muy agradable caminata por este ambiente universitario donde se forman los profesionales de mi país.
