On Saturday morning I was up at 6AM and got my post up. I cleaned up the kitchen and started watering the house plants. I had watered or fed the seedlings the day before. But with the fans they dry out much faster. So I had to water a bunch of them too.
The broccoli has nearly doubled in height since getting a fan on Friday.

I’d posted a photo of the Walla onions that had never had a fan. Four days ago, I took the storage onions off the fan shelf and put the Wallas there. Already many have stood up.
Once I got all the plants watered I sat down for a while then headed to the gardens around noon.

The end of the West garden was still in shade and the wind was blowing but it was warm enough for me to finish that garden. I got my notes, and photos and put down the BulbTone and FlowerTone. Then I moved all my equipment over to the New East garden and headed inside for some lunch.

I came back out around 2PM and decided that I couldn’t really clean out this garden. What I needed to do was get a tote and stand up and load it with leaves. If I used a sled the wind would have the leaves all over. So I managed to get most of the leaves out but some blew back in behind me.
All the standing and bending wiped me out. I got my photos and cleaned up and went inside to sit down for a while around 3:30PM.

New East half done
My latest series to watch is ‘Leave It to Beaver’. So I watched that until supper time then got the stoves going. It was to drop into the mid 30’s during the night. Then I got a shower and was in bed by 8:30PM.
On Sunday it’s to get into the 50’s and be cloudy. I’m hoping to get out to the New East garden after lunch and get it finished. I also have to plant the survivors of the cold frame. My brother is going to help me put the treadmill away for the season and then we will move all the screens to where it stands. They will be safer there and people need to use the laundry room on Sunday. I have 2 fans I couldn’t use yet, so I’m going to put them on the office shelves.
I’m hoping it will be a bit easier day.
