Sydney | Attitude | Sydneytude

I was speaking with my sister the other day, she lives in Sydney and we were talking about her coming over to where I live (a couple thousand kilometres away) to visit for a bit. It'll be nice to see her and considering she has a few things going on I think it'll be good for her to have a break and spend time with family for a bit.
She's lived in Sydney for a long time now and managed to develop a Sydneytude.
It's sort of like an attitude that Sydneysiders have, something Sydney seems to impart to people that makes them sort of...well, different to the rest of us. I'll not go as far as saying they have an elitist attitude but...well, they seem to have an elitist attitude.
It's been interesting to see it develop over the years despite my sister not being raised that way; it took hold and grew exponentially. It's also interesting to see (feel) that it's starting to loosen its hold on her lately based on conversations we've had. I think that's due to some of the things that have been (and are) taking place and how those events are changing her mindset somewhat. I'll know more when she's here and we get to speak, but I think a change is on the horizon.
Have you noticed that people from different cities, towns or even countries have different attitudes? Tell me about it, why you think it happens and how that's left you feeling about those people and their attitudes.
