Toda esta buena racha del 2026 se concretĂł en el mes de marzo al ganar el Clásico Mundial de BĂ©isbol, lo que nos uniĂł como naciĂłn. Creo que no importaba si sabĂas o no del deporte; solo con ser venezolano ya sentĂas el triunfo como tuyo. Incluso vi muchas nacionalidades hermanas celebrando con nosotros, asĂ que me quedo con lo bonito de todo esto.
Anunciaron que se darĂa una gira con el trofeo por todo el paĂs, para que todos los venezolanos pudiĂ©ramos apreciarlo de cerca. En mi ciudad, lo anunciaron un dĂa, luego cambiaron a otro y asĂ fuimos rodando la fecha, hasta que por fin el Instituto del Deporte lo confirmĂł.
La idea era una caravana, pero como no cuento con carro, entonces me esperé en el punto final, que quedaba muy cerca de mi casa y, me fui caminando.

This whole winning streak of 2026 was realized in March with winning the Baseball World Championship, which united us as a nation. I think it didn’t matter if you knew about the sport or not; just being Venezuelan made you feel the victory as your own. I even saw many sister nationalities celebrating with us, so I hold on to the beauty of all this.
They announced that there would be a tour with the trophy across the country, so that all Venezuelans could appreciate the trophy. In my city, they announced it one day, then changed it to another, and so we kept moving the date, until finally the Sports Institute confirmed it.
The idea was a caravan, but since I don’t have a car, I waited at the final point, which was very close to my house, so I went walking.
La cita era a las 3 p. m. porque ciertamente el sol en estas fechas y en esta ciudad está 🔥🔥🔥. Menos mal que el punto de encuentro era en la plaza y los árboles nos dieron sombra mientras esperábamos.
Honestamente, no habĂa mucha gente. Me entristeciĂł porque la noche y al otro dĂa de la victoria, todas las calles estaban inundadas de personas; entonces, si venĂa el trofeo, Âżpor quĂ© no apoyar? Creo que tiene que ver con que cada quien estaba en sus ocupaciones y, como no habĂa fiesta como tal, con artistas y espectáculos, o al menos algĂşn jugador, la gente no se animĂł a recibir la copa.

Honestly, there weren't many people. It saddened me because the night and the day after the victory, all the streets were flooded with people; so if the trophy was coming, why not show support? I think it has to do with everyone being occupied with their own things and, since there wasn't really a party, with artists and performances, or at least some player, people weren't encouraged to come receive the cup.
Lo que sĂ me gustĂł fue ver la emociĂłn de los niños que se están formando en esta disciplina. Ellos se veĂan muy emocionados, estaban con su uniforme, querĂan estar de primeros y fotografiar este momento.
Por parte de los padres y los entrenadores, estaban pendientes de sus muchachos y de que pudieran llegar a la foto de la victoria.
El momento fue muy rápido porque la caravana llegó, las personas comenzaron a acumularse; las autoridades, por su parte, haciendo su "show" y tomándose fotos con sus allegados, hicieron todo más caótico y nada agradable para pasar a tomarse la foto con el trofeo.
What I did like was seeing the excitement of the children who are training in this discipline. They looked very excited, they were in their uniforms, they wanted to be first and to photograph this moment.
On the part of the parents and coaches, they were attentive to their kids and to making sure they could get to the victory photo.
The moment was very quick because the caravan arrived, people began to gather, the authorities, for their part, putting on their "show" and taking photos with their relatives, made everything more chaotic and not pleasant at all for getting to take the photo with the trophy.
Cuando dijeron que se tomarĂan las fotografĂas, comenzaron a pasar los niños de las escuelas de bĂ©isbol y estamos hablando de que contabilicĂ© más de 20; además, existĂan niños que querĂan fotos individuales y otros grupales, lo que retrasaba el proceso.
Para aquellos que no tenemos ningĂşn vĂnculo o niños, tenĂamos que esperar que todos ellos pasaran. Ya eran casi las 6 de la tarde, asĂ que decidĂ venirme a casa y solo quedarme con el recuerdo de haber asistido, llorado nuevamente con la Ăşltima narraciĂłn y ver el trofeo de cerca, lo más cerca que pude. Aunque pienso que lo vi tan igual como todos porque no podĂan ni tocarlo ni acercarse.
Espero que algĂşn dĂa lo expongan en algĂşn sitio y los verdaderos fanáticos, no los que se enteraron de la existencia de Maickel GarcĂa solo por ser el más valioso, podamos ir tranquilos a disfrutar y contemplar este trofeo bien merecido. ¡Felicidades! When they said that photographs would be taken, the children from the baseball schools began to pass by, and we’re talking about me counting more than 20; besides, there were children who wanted individual photos and others wanted group photos, which delayed the process.
For those of us who have no connection or children, we had to wait for all of them to go. It was already almost 6 in the evening, so I decided to go home and just keep the memory of having attended, cried again with the last narration, and seen the trophy up close, as close as I could.
