My Metamask Wallet got Hacked: What did i Lose?

Yesterday i decided to check on my Metamask wallet. To tell you the truth i just check up on it occasionally since i don't have anything in particular stored there. To my surprise i realised that the value of my crypto assets there was zero!

It took me a few minutes to understand what was going on as at first i thought that I might see something different, or that the cryto i had there had now a value of 0. Then i checked upon the transactions and figured it out. To be honest i don't know how this happened, maybe i gave access to somewhere i shouldn't, or did a scam transaction with a scam coin, i honestly don't know.

I also realised that everything happened a while ago, in December of 2025, to be precise. I pretty much revoked all the accesses on that wallet and then decided to stop using it just in case. I created a new Metamask wallet and i will use only this one. I will also try to be extra careful with the accesses and such.

So what did i lose?

The good thing is that the only thing i had at that time in my Metamask wallet was GIFU. The bad thing is that i lost all of my Gifu there. I pretty much had like 5-6 million GIFU, i think i paid around 100-150$ for it and the value back then was double. So thankfully i didn't lose like a fortune and i still hold some GIFU on hive but still i lost something.

The goal now is to keep a closer look at my new Metamask wallet and ofc to also manage and increase my GIFU stake once again! To be honest i didn't think of myself getting scammed or hacked but here we go :P! Try to check upon everything and keep your money safe!
