Spring Nikolsk. Part 2

Nikolsk is an ancient city. It was granted this status in 1780, but it has existed for much longer as a marina on the Yug River during the time of the waterway trade routes. This is one of the most remote regional centers of the Vologda region from the regional capital.

In summer, the Yug River becomes very shallow, exposing the patterned sands.

But now there is practically no approach to the river anywhere.

Gradually, I'm starting to touch on the disadvantages of Nikolsk.

I understand that in the past, the river was used in all places not as a recreational area, but as an industrial one.

In the days of shipping, almost all the shores were occupied with something...boats, ships, barges, and timber rafts...

And now it's just overgrown shores that you can't approach without admiring the view.

But not everything is so bad: there will be further pictures of well-maintained places on the shore.

In the meantime, I'm moving smoothly to the center over a road bridge.

The views from the bridge are good only in one direction.

The other one will have a view of the industrial area...

The main highway runs through here, connecting all the eastern regional centers and enclosing them in a ring.

...Someone told me that I am very good at "deliciously serving" views of the most boring city of Vologda region.

I like Nikolsk. Can you guess why? That's right: the river, the height difference, the architecture, the randomness of buildings, bridges, churches.

How can you not love a place where even a ground-floor window can offer such a view?

All places have their own code, spirit, atmosphere, vibe...

In some places, it all feels weak, while in others it is bright.

Nikolsk definitely has its own vibrant atmosphere, which is unlike other places. It has its own unique code, spirit..
