When I was in party. LoH contest-284
Hi,
Normally, I don’t go to parties, but this one was special because my friend Emma was hosting it at a hotel to celebrate her engagement. I was happy that she had finally agreed to get married. I had prepared well for the event and reached the hotel on time. We were all enjoying ourselves. I don’t drink, so when one of her relatives offered me a peg of whiskey, I politely refused. He seemed very determined and kept insisting again and again. That made me uncomfortable. I told him clearly that I don’t drink and asked him not to push me.
He felt insulted. He turned to his friend and said that some women think of themselves as princesses. He added that he didn’t care about such women and could “hire many like the one having a mocktail behind him.”
He was obviously referring to me. He wanted to impress me, but I wasn’t in the mood to create a scene, so I handled the situation calmly. The next day, I met him in the evening at Emma's home and rebuked him for his misbehavior. I was very angry at that moment. He apologized and I closed the matter.
There are many people in this world who may try to provoke you intentionally, even when you have no intention of talking to them. I dislike such people.
With care from Erica.
