It’s a shame for players like Fabiano or Anish, who gave it their best shot, but luck wasn’t on their side. In this game, Fabiano demonstrated his superiority over Pragg. The position in the diagram is a variation, as it didn’t actually occur. I was curious about how to refute this pin and soon discovered that it wasn’t as simple as just giving check. There are complications similar to the game, but the main lesson is the refinement of the evaluation of the final position of the combination. It’s definitely worth studying these games. Habemus retador. Hoy, Sindarov acaba de asegurarse su plaza en el Campeonato Mundial de Ajedrez y es claramente el favorito para ganarlo. Es una pena para jugadores como Fabiano o Anish, que lo dieron todo, pero la suerte no estuvo de su lado. En esta partida, Fabiano demostró su superioridad sobre Pragg.
