Why I Am Still On Hive

I can remember when I wanted to quit because I felt I was no match for the blockchain, but a little patience mixed with readiness to learn and grow changed the story.
I am not ashamed to tell anyone that I came to Hive Blockchain as a complete novice. The only thing I came with was a burning passion to write.
The blockchain saw my desire to learn, and it rewarded me with writing skills and knowledge that others are paying huge amounts of money to acquire.
I have spent almost four years on the blockchain; there have been both rough and smooth days, but somehow, I find myself not quitting and not even imagining it.
There were times when I was not earning anything reasonable from my content on the blockchain, but I still came up every day and wrote.
There were times that the $Hive price went so low that all my assets did not amount to anything tangible, yet I don't care; I still keep going.
A newbie asked me to tell him the secret behind my ability to stay on the blockchain regardless of all the roller coasters, and I gave him a short answer: βHome is always home.β
Many people are on the blockchain for many reasons. The truth is, what brought you here is what will determine whether you will stay or leave at the slightest storm.
For instance, if your drive is only the incentive that comes from creating content, I am afraid that anytime rewards stop coming, you may also stop blogging.
I won't lie to anyone; there are times I felt like quitting, too. There were days I felt like I was just wasting time here, but the more I tried to go away, the more I stayed.
I have developed a love for the blockchain that has made me one with it. The platform has become like a home. I can not go two days without writing anything and feel comfortable.
Something in me will begin to crave the platform. Not just the writing but everything about it. If it were about writing alone, I could easily go to Facebook or Twitter or any other platforms, but they are not Hive; they won't give me the satisfaction I want.
They won't give me the kind of reward I want. Do you know that even if it's just $1 I make a day or in a week, there is this unexplained joy that comes with it.
I was asking a friend sometime ago how he feels whenever his content gets curated, and he said, " The joy is not something man can explain, and seriously, I can relate to it.
It just feels like millions, even if it's little, that feeling I get, that satisfaction I get, is dwhat keeps me caged.
I already have friends and communities I am familiar with, interacting with their content is easy, and there is this void it always fills.

It's not as if I can't do without Hive Blockchain, but honestly, cutting away from it will leave an indelible mark on me. The platform has become like a pill I am addicted to, and I will be honest, I don't want to break away from it.
