Planning All The Way: My Way Of Tackling Things

All humans fall under either of these or both. Although our society doesn't give so much credit to the habit of addressing situations without taking a second thought.
In truth, acting based on impulse, no matter the kind of result it creates, no matter the brains behind it, is entirely risky.
Impulses are usually engineered by emotions. Instead of acting based on logic, one would act based on what their feelings are suggesting.
In the end, the person either guesses or rushes to respond, which often gives ineffective results.
For sure, there are times that acting based on impulse saves the day, but the result is usually poor, and even if it happens to be good, sometimes it's luck.
A majority of us know the relevance of thinking things through before acting, but we lack the courage to execute it.
It is very easy for us to talk about it, but when it comes to taking action, we become helpless. The truth is, it demands a lot of discipline to be able to think before we act.
The pressure that comes with emotions will pounce on you, shake you, and push you until you don't know how you gave in to act.
But there is nothing that can not be achieved. If we put our minds to it and begin to practice silence in the midst of chaos, our discipline will begin to compound, and hopefully, we will begin to master how to take our time before we go into conclusions.
Coming back to me. I used to act based on impulse; I have done that many times, and the results were terrible.
Immediately I finished acting, I will sit quietly and ask myself why I did it. Sometimes it's something you know, something you would have done perfectly if only you took some time to breathe and allow silence to calm you down while you think, but impulse ruined it.
Most times we rush things, we want it done right away, it's as if someone is pressuring us, but in reality, it's just you and your emotions.
In every situation, there is always a chance to stay silent for a moment and think, why the rush then?
Recently, I have been training myself to master the act of silence even in conversations.
I am working on how to wait and think before acting, and it has been very helpful. We are too hasty in life, and if you check there is nothing pursuing us.
Nowadays, I take time to plan and think before I do things. I don't allow my emotions or people to rush me. If you don't have the patience to allow me to think, then I am ready to let it go.
I know how many mistakes I have made because I was being impulsive, and I know how many failures I incurred because I couldn't calm myself and study things properly before responding. I am not ready to make those mistakes twice.
This thing applies to every sphere of life, education, business, relationships, and so on. If you act based on impulse alone, be prepared for the trouble, regrets, and pain.

So, enough of the rush, take your time, go slow, don't follow the crowd in haste, you will get carried away.
Impulse is just like a tornado; if you join it, you would be carried away by obscurity, confusion, and indecision, but step outside of it, and you would see clearly.
