While camping in the New Forest, UK, it is quite common for horses, ponies, and even donkeys to walk through the campsite. They are not bothered by humans at all. They just arrive, eat grass, roll and then leave.
They are owned by local people but are allowed to roam freely. This was the scene this morning when we woke up in the motorhome.

While out walking we found some great looking trees. Well, if you are interested in trees, that is, even if they're dead, or fallen down.

The art of seeing faces in random objects, such as clouds, trees etc is a common psychological phenomenon called pareidolia. I could see a dog or perhaps a reindeer in this tree.

There's also tree vandals who like Nirvana!
At the moment, the New Forest is covered with beautiful yellow gorse. It looks quite striking over the heathland. All in all, it’s been a lovely stay so far and great waking up to wandering animals. Unfortunately, we've not seen any deer, as yet. The New Forest has a unique charm that’s difficult to beat. Onwards to the next campsite!
