Illusion of freedom and student life

life as a student isn't an easy task. With projects being thrown at you left and right, peer pressure, dangerous social circles copious homework, social competition and the likes, maintaining grades and also trying your best to be independent holistically can be overwhelming.
Many students find themselves doing everything other then what they should be doing. Being young is a damning stage in our lives because whatever we do now, no matter how big or small, has a drastically adverse effect in our future. When surrounded by peers and personas, influence becomes a moving force. life altering influences is most apparant at this time of our lives.
When first stepping into a university setting, alot of young people claim to suddenly have a feeling of freedom overpowering them. Many youngsters anticipate the college life, not just because its a new phase for them, but because in a way they are finally liberated from the control of their parents or caretakers/ This is understandable given the fact that for most of their lives as children and teens, they were put under the roof of their parents. Catered for, dictated over and constantly reminded that they are restricted and in control. The advent of college life and living as an undergraduate is one of the most dangerously overrated appeal for youngsters
Freedom doesn't technically exist. When finally becoming enrolled and matriculated as an undergraduate, we love to convince ourselves that we can truly do what we want. No parents to look over us. No eyes to set boundaries and warn us. Just ourselves. However we fail to realize that we're simply transitioning into a new type life under another persons control. The system. Lecturers. Staff and many more. In college you still have to meet up with deadlines. Attendances. And their definitely consequences for your actions. dished out either by the school, or if your unfortunate enough, a fellow student or an outsider who doesn't have much left to lose. The same goes for all aspects of life. When you get a job your under a boss. When you land a high position in society there's always a superior who has his say over you.
True freedom comes for emotional, mental and financially stability so to speak. It come from peace of mind, thats when freedom speaks to you and you feel like even the worst of burderns have left your shoulder
