Hello my fellow Hivers! I hope you’re all good!
I didn’t really plan to visit Narra Park. I was out to buy some things for our upcoming family reunion this weekend. However, the bank was offline because of a power interruption, while waiting for the electricity to come back, I decided to pass by Narra Park and take a short walk.
Sometimes, it’s the unplanned moments that turn out to be the most meaningful.

As I entered the park, the first thing I noticed was how tall the trees were. They gave so much shade, so it didn’t feel too hot even in the afternoon. I started walking slowly, just looking around and taking everything in. Near the entrance, there were animal statues, and I saw a few kids enjoying them. It made the place feel light and welcoming.

As I continued walking, I began to notice the plants more. I saw pothos growing along some areas and snake plants standing neatly in groups, there also many hanging plants best for photography and what really caught my attention were the yellow bell flowers. They were bright and fresh, and I’ve always liked yellow, so they made me smile. There were also many wild plants around not arranged well but still beautiful in their own way.

While walking, I realized I was starting to feel lighter. No pressure just me and the surroundings. As someone with many responsibilities, I don’t always get time like this. Most days are busy, and my mind is full of things I need to do.
I found a quiet spot and sat for a while. I could hear the leaves moving with the wind, and the air felt fresh. This moment and place helped me calm down.
It made me realize that I don’t always need something big to feel better. Sometimes, a short walk, fresh air, and being surrounded by nature are enough. It felt like a simple kind of therapy.

Before leaving, I took a few more photos and looked around one last time. I felt thankful that I decided to stop by.

today reminded me that it’s okay to slow down and take care of myself, even in small ways.
