My entry photo for the Around the World Contest
So today we decided to go to Guildford cathedral again. As we drove up the long drive to the cathedral it was obvious that something was happening here today. In fact it was graduation ceremonies from University of Surrey taking place all this week!

Coach loads of graduates and their families were arriving for the ceremonies.
All this meant that parking was limited but we did manage to find a spot, and we headed for the small Seeds of Hope garden at the rear of the grounds, well away from the crowds.

The gardens were a little disappointing, having been left to nature for years, it seems! As you can see by my pictures, there is not a great deal to see now.

A patch of primroses, a sculpture of two children dancing, but not much else. It is even hard to imagine what it was like when created and what plants were included.

Maybe there were none and just grass. Who knows? The is a strange swirled arrangement of bricks on the ground with a plaque depicting the pattern. The plaque says this is the Seeds of Hope Labyrinth, representing the path that we take in life. It probably looked good when new but it clearly needs attention. Such a same!

We did enjoy our visit and a cup of tea in the cafe on site. A very good cafe which was not as busy as we feared it might be considering what was going on here today. ๐
