Flag Trees

You know those trees that grow at an angle, affected by the constant flow of wind? I’m sure you have seen them. There is a name for them: Flag trees or Banner trees. I learned something new today by doing a bit of research on it. I found these trees on the road to Red Rock canyon, Waterton Lakes Park. The landscape was suited for that constant wind type of environment. Pretty neat actually. Imagine what this area was like when the 2017 fire ripped through here, wind would have been the enemy. Thanks for stopping by.
