Only a minor loss on Friday in a match that didn't really have much of my interest and where I was quite lucky that the odds on the Charleroi 1H corners handicap dropped as I otherwise likely would have had a bigger bet on it. The good thing is that I avoided betting more in-game so I'm quite pleased how that worked out. 3 Matches on Saturday...

Cercle Brugge vs La Louviere

The situation in Playoff 2 is one where 3 teams are very close to being mathematically safe while they don't have to worry. At the same time, I can see how it still remains something in the back of their heads. Cercle in their match away against Zulte started slow but became the better team and got0-1 in front. The first 15 minutes of the 2nd half is where they are the team with most goals agains and Zulte pushed while Cercle Crawled back making for the 1-1. In the regular season they were the worst home team against the asian handicap at just 2.5W-11L-1.5P so it's hard for me to back them as the clear favorite. La Louviere lost to Dender at home with a 0-1 score in a match where overall they were the slight better team. Overall they were not good enough to make a comeback against Dender who crawled back after taking the lead. Both are teams who aren't free scoring but still had a couple high-goal matches at the end of the regular season. A win for these teams would be great but a draw would not be the end of the world as they both this way would get a point closer to safety. My main angle on this match is for the team to take the lead to crawl back which likely means the opponent will manage to create more corners. So that is pretty much what I'm going by and I'm sticking to No Pre-Game Bets

Standard vs Westerlo

Standard surprisingly went to take the win away against OHL which puts them still in contention to win Playoff 2. They also seem to have made an objective of that and I fully expect a similar aproach where they just try to keep the defense closed and hope to get a counter in. Only when they fall behind they actually start pushing but when they get even again it tends to stop. So the win against OHL was very flattering and also because OHL gave too much away as a team who has nothing to play for really. Westerlo took a 2-0 flattering win as it was Charleroi who actually was the slight better team in the 1st half while Westerlo was helped with Charleroi getting a red card in minute 60. They played against 10 who still went for it and gave space allowing them to make the 2-0. Westerlo also is one of the teams in contention to win playoff 2 and the main question is if these teams are going to be willing to settle with a draw if needed or if they are going full risk to take the win in the end. I do expect a Standard who isn't going to take much risk at the start of the match while Westerlo also might fear the counters. I took 0.3 units on 1st Half Under 1 @ 2.007 but I likely will pot some safe along the way as I generally don't like to bet unders in Playoff 2 especially not FT unders. I also took 0.12 units on Westerlo +0.25 @ 1.849 as a draw might be ok for both and I don't see Standard who have more missings as the better team. If Westerlo scores first, this might make things much more open and might open a window for more bets.

Sint-Truiden vs Club Brugge

This season in Playoff 1 based on the first week feels very much smilar to last season where the class difference between the 2 contenders and the rest was just too big. both Brugge and Union started out taking 12 on 12 against the weaker teams and Brugge started really good against Anderlecht with an impressive 1st half putting in their best league performance of the season. The fans also felt like they already were the champion. However, they had a pace that was impossible to keep up and at a 3-0 score they pretty much stopped playing in the 2nd half which allowed Anderlecht back into the game. I see that as a good thing for today as they won't come in thinking it will be easy. I do fully expect them to bring similar intensity and quality dominating Sint-Truiden at the start of the match and go home with the 3 points. Stvv started with lots of enthusiasm away against Union which took 10 minutes before Union took over and eventually won with a deserved narrow 1-0 score. I would not say that Stvv are done for but they are now 0 on 9 against Genk and Union Twice. So I'm expecting Club Brugge to be a class higher today and maybe asid from some initial enthusiasm from Stvv for Brugge to dominate this match. I took 0.3 units on Club Brugge 1st Half -0.25 @ 2.016 along with 0.16 units on Club Brugge 1st Half -0.25 corners @ 1.820, & 0.1 unit on Club Brugge -0.5 @ 1.930 . If Brugge falls behind, I also see thel capable of making a comeback.
