I thought it was my hair, I'm told it is our hair

Today, I was thinking about what to do with my hair.
I am faced between two options get another haircut or start grooming it. My family on the other hand wants me to groom it but i really want another haircut.
I never imagined that I would be discussing my hair goals in my life. I love my haircut life more :
- The smooth wholesome feeling I derived during bath or shower time gives an amazing feeling.
- Ease of care: I just have to wash, oiled up, comb it.
- It exudes a youthful appearance just like when I was in high school, one of the rules was to keep a low cut hair.
When I decided to cut my hair in October last year. I never felt any sense of loss but each time I had a bath I forgot to wash my hair-head. It continued for about a week and only noticed while getting my body towel dried. I will jump-start bathing again because there's no hair to protect.
Since then, I really do enjoy my low cut hair era more.
The annoying part is that most of the hair salons at my location will not cut your hair especially if you are married, you have to go with your spouse. The haircut I had before was in the presence of my spouse.
Yes, I'm a girl who never really liked to sit for long to have her hair done but I still admire beautiful hairdos on people.
Right now, I don't know how to convince my partner so I can get my desired haircut especially since he wants me to groom the hair.

So friends...team haircut or team grow it? what would you do? If your partner disagreed with a hair choice.
