Good day, amazing people of the Hive blockchain. I am so delighted to have you in my blog. I will be writing about accountability and why it is very important that we should be accountable.

If there is something I love doing, it is accountability. I see it as a vital trait every human should have when it means to be accountable; you will take full responsibility for your actions, results and your decisions, either good or bad. Accountability is necessary; everyone should have it. It is so bad that someone can walk up to you boldly and tell you that they are not accountable. I am always shocked whenever I hear people say that nobody is born with the skill; it only takes discipline to build. You can build this trait, and at the end you will enjoy it.
To be honest, accountability is not something that is so easy, but it is one good act we should embrace. As someone who is accountable, you should always be ready to own your actions and behaviour and not shift blame. We are living in a world where people find it hard to be accountable; they easily shift blame to people. Accountability is owning up to your behaviour rather than pushing blame on someone.
Now comes the big question: how many of us are really to be accountable, knowing full well how important it is? But we are so comfortable building life without being accountable. I will not say it is easy to build a life of accountability, but whenever I come across whoever possesses such a lifestyle, I value them.
I met someone in my life that made me realise how important accountability is in my workplace. My head of department and I are to produce a new product, and the deadline given to us was limited.
New days after the presentation, my head of department realised that she made a very terrible mistake. I was so surprised that she took the whole blame instead of pushing the blame onto
our team. She called an emergency meeting and explained everything to us immediately. We corrected the error.
I was so shocked by her actions because I have worked with people over the years that are not accountable for every little fault; they will push the blame on people working under them.
The product came out nice, and this made us love her. The more I get to understand, accountability is owning up to our mistakes and fixing them.
If I come across people with such traits, I value them because for once you will never regret meeting them. Accountability may seem little, but it opens doors.
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I appreciate your comments, support and upvotes. Do have a lovely evening.
