https://youtu.be/EdoRxvBVMLI?si=eMA-aHegKoRZjhg5 The Lord God looked on the man whom He had created and he said that it was not good for the man to be alone. He then decided that he is going to make an help that is meet for the man. So, getting married is God's plan. God himself initiated marriage. Because it came from God, it can't be working against what God ordained. Every of God's purposes are right. His counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. God is not the author of confusion. He does not give birth to confusion. What he does is right. Marriage is right and baptism is equally right.
Baptism is needed for our salvation. We must get baptized after we have received the message of Jesus Christ. It is the doctrine which Jesus Christ established by himself. He commanded that everyone who believes in Him should be baptized. Therefore receiving baptism is imperative for every follower of Jesus Christ.
The qualification for someone to be baptized is that the person must accept the doctrines of Jesus Christ. We do not baptize someone who does not believe in Jesus Christ. It is those who actually believe in Jesus Christ that can be baptized. So, engagement does not affect someone being baptized. Whether you are engaged or not, you can still be baptized if you have believed in Jesus Christ and obey his doctrines.
