Trains, buses, trains and no planes or automobiles : April 9 2026

Turned into a planes, trains and automobiles day. Well none of that as I chose not to risk my car not starting to do chore one - pick up my new tennis shoes. Took the train and the bus

That got me to the tennis shop. Taken 4 months to exchange a voucher my wife bought for Christmas. They lauched a new range - wait a few months and then get an order in from Melbourne. Probably some planes to get shoes from Vietnam to Mebourne to Sydney

Was a bit hot to walk back to the train. Walked around the corner to find a shady bus stop

Old style cottage at the bus stop. Rosebank is an old English name - a suburb in Johannesburg where I once had a doctor. A suburb in Cape Town where I lived in university residence

Did one shopping thing on the way from station to home. Did have a late afternoon meetup in the city with friends and then with my wife. More trains

Meetup spot with friends - just over the street from where my city office was. Cannot recall going there - we had our own favourites.
