Happy Monday, Feel Good community! These first few days of April have been really hectic for me. I've been swamped with university work, and to top it all off, my teaching assistant, who is also a graduate student and will potentially end up being my tutor/academic advisor, has left me with her little kitten again—I'm referring to sweet Ruperta, whom I already shared with you when they first brought her to me in this @bulkathos/my-participation-in-the-phone-ed2c3a46ca4c6" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">post. This week I'll be taking care of her again, and when I woke up not really wanting to go to work, I found Ruperta like this on the sofa. I wanted to take a picture for this Phone Photography contest @untilwelearn/phone-photography-contest-108" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">#108.

She doesn't like it when I go to work because I usually get home quite late. She's never left alone at home because my brother or my mother are there to look after her, but of course, being the stubborn girl she is, she wants me. So she got into that position, showing her pink paws so I would stay with her, pet her, and play with her. I won't lie to you, with how little desire I had to go to work, seeing her there was a very effective strategy to persuade me not to leave the house, so while I was getting dressed and finishing breakfast, she kept snuggling up on the sofa as if to tell me how comfortable she was and that it was better to stay cuddled up to her 😅.

Her persuasive tactics almost convinced me, but I had no choice. The cat food they'd given me since Friday was running out, and I had to go buy her at least another kilo and a half before her mother came to pick it up. So, when I was ready to leave, she made one last attempt. She got up, climbed onto the freezer, and gave me that questioning look, somewhere between indignant at leaving her and anxious because it was inevitable. I kissed her head and told her I had to go to work because otherwise, how was I going to buy her food? She came closer, pressed her body against mine as if to mark me, and then gave me her permission. I wanted to take one more picture of her as I was leaving, but I was already late for work. In any case, that's how my days with Ruperta have been. She clung to me a lot over the weekend and was scolding me for going to work😅. Ultimately, coming home from work and knowing she's waiting for me is one of those things that makes the days more enjoyable, despite how overwhelming they might be.

When I got back, she started sniffing me, haha. She was making sure no other "home-wrecking" cat had interacted with me. When she saw me arrive with the cat food, she seemed to understand why I had to go out and, in a way, forgave me by staying with me in bed while I watched the Fall Out series. Estos primeros días de abril han sido realmente movidos para mi, he estado full con el trabajo de la universidad y para completar mi auxiliar que es al mismo tiempo estudiante de postgrado y potencialmente termine siendo su tutor/asesor académico, me ha dejado nuevamente a su pequeña gatita, me refiero a la dulce Ruperta que ya les había compartido cuando me la trajeron por primera vez en este @bulkathos/my-participation-in-the-phone-ed2c3a46ca4c6" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">post. Esta semana me tocará cuidar de ella nuevamente y cuando me desperté sin muchas ganas de ir al trabajo me consigo a Ruperta de esta forma en el sofá y quise tomarle una foto para este Phone Photography @untilwelearn/phone-photography-contest-108" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">#108.

A ella no le gusta que me vaya a trabajar porque suelo llegar bastante tarde, no se queda sola en casa porque mi hermano o mi madre están en la casa para cuidarla pero por supuesto ella tan caprichosa a quien quiere es a mi. Entonces se puso en esa posición mostrando sus patitas rosadas para que me quedara con ella hacerle cariños y jugar con ella. No les mentiré, con las pocas ganas que tenía de ir al trabajo, verla alli fue una muy efectiva estrategia para persuadirme a no salir de la casa, así que mientras me vestía y terminaba de desayunar, ella seguía acurrucandose en el sofá como queriendo decirme lo cómoda que estaba y que era mejor quedarme abrazado a ella😅.

Sus estrategias persuasivas casi terminan por convencerme, pero no tenía opción ya la gatarina que me dieron desde el viernes se estaba acabando y tenía que ir a comprarle al menos un kilo y medio más hasta que venga su madre a buscarla. Así que el cuando ya estaba listo para irme hizo un último intento, se levanto, subió al congelador y me lanzó esa mirada inquisitiva entre indignada por dejarla y angustiada por que era inevitable. Le besé la cabecita y le dije que tenía que ir a trabajar porque de otro modo como le iba a comprar la comida? Se me acercó, paso su cuerpo sobre mi como queriendo marcarme y luego me dio su permiso. Quería tomarle una foto más en el momento de irme pero ya iba tarde al trabajo, en cualquier caso, así han sido mis días con Ruperta, se apegó mucho a mi el fin de semana y me estaba reprochando por ir al trabajo hoy. En última instancia volver del trabajo y saber que me esta esperando son de esas cosas que hacen los días más disfrutable a pesar de lo agobiante que puede ser tu día.

Cuando volví se puso a olerme jaja estaba asegurándose de que ninguna otra gata "rompe hogares" haya interactuado conmigo, cuando me vio llegar con la gatarina pareció entender el porque tenía que salir y en cierta forma me perdonó quedándose conmigo en la cama mientras veía la serie de Fall Out.
