What's up, Splinterfam and citizens of Praetoria! Today we finished the first season of April, a season that brought us not only the ability to create and use our first craftable Clans in Lands, but also the second series of Seasonal Skins called Eggstravaganza Skins, an interesting battle arena design, and the introduction of new rulesets. While these rulesets are already overwhelming and frustrating for players due to their complexity and convoluted nature, the good news is that at least one of them was exclusive to the Easter season. The rest of us will have to adapt to them. My activity continued to focus on Frontier and Modern, but in this post, I'll only summarize my achievements in Modern, since Frontier would require a whole separate post to explain my accomplishments, which were numerous.

Hoy hemos terminado la primera temporada de Abril, una temporada que nos trajo no solo la posibilidad de crear y usar nuestras primeras cratas crafteables en Lands, sino también la segunda serie de Skins de Temporada llamada Eggstravaganza Skins, un interesante diseño de arena de batalla y la introducción de nuevas ruleset que aunque ya saturan y frustran a los jugadores por los complejas y rebuscadas que son, la buena noticia es que al menos una de ella solo era exclusiva de la temporada de pascua, el resto tendremos que adaptarnos por la fuerza a ellas. Mi actividad continuó enfocándose en Frontier y Modern, pero en esta publicación solo me limitaré a realizar un resumen de mis logros en Modern, ya que para Frontier necesitaría todo un post aparte para explicar mis logros que no fueron pocos.

This season, we repeated our achievement from last season in Modern: Gold III. Reaching it was just as challenging, mainly because I haven't started leveling up my rare reward cards to strengthen my deck yet. For now, I have to make do with the rare cards I'm lucky enough to get from reward chests when I climb the leagues. My projection is that I'll reach Gold III again this season, but this time I'll invest my glints in buying a lot of rare cards.

Esta temporada volvimos a repetir el logro de la temporada anterior en moderno: liga de Oro III, fue igualmente desafiante llegar y es porque aún no comienzo a levear mis cartas raras rewards para fortalecer mi mazo, por lo pronto tengo que conformarme con las las cartas raras que con algo de suerte me salen en los cofres de recompensa al subir de liga. Mi proyección es que esta nueva temporada llegaré a Oro III nuevamente, pero en esta ocasión si invertiré mis glints en compras masivas de cartas raras.

The total amount of glints I managed to farm reached 130,000, and I know that at the beginning of this year I firmly promised you that I wouldn't waste my glints on skins, but friends, I can't help it—I'm addicted to skins! So, when April began, I got the first skins from this "Eggstravaganza" collection, which I shared in this post. I bought the commons and a rare skin then, and today I spent about 40,000 glints on the remaining ones: the rare Conclave Arcana, the epic, and one of the legendary.

El acumulado total de los Glints que logre farmear llegó a 130K de Glints y yo sé que al comenzar este año les prometí firmemente que no mal gastaría mis glints en Skins pero amigos, no puedo evitarlo soy adicto a las skins! Así que cuando empezó el més de abril me hice con los primeros skins de esta colección "Eggstravaganza" y que les compartí en este @bulkathos/my-first-days-of-april" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">post. En esa ocasión compré los comunes y una skin rara, y hoy gasté cerca de 40K de glints en las que me faltaban que eran las raras Conclave Arcana, la épica y una de las legendarias.

I started with the rare Conclave Arcana: Doldrus, a rare card I don't have yet but will soon add to my deck because of the great advantage of being a dual-element card. Then there's Torrent Sniper. I wasn't entirely sure about buying it, but since I was already spending money, I decided to go for it. It's not a card I use much, even though it's magical, but until I level it up and test it out, I don't want to judge it prematurely.

Comencé por las raras Conclave Arcana: Doldrus que es una carta rara que aún no tengo pero que pronto incorporaré a mi mazo por la gran ventaja de ser una carta Bi elemental y luego tenemos a Torrent Sniper, no estaba muy seguro que comprarla pero ya que estaba haciendo este gasto decidí hacerlo, no es una carta que use mucho aunque es mágica, pero hasta que no la lleve a niveles superiores y la ponga a prueba no quiero juzgarla prematuramente.

The last rare I bought was Time Bandit. I don't know why I have a special fondness for this card; maybe it's because it's the only rare card I have in black foil, but with it, I've now completed all the rare and common skins in this collection. Then I went for the big buys. Lady Amara looks spectacular with that skin; she reminded me of my dear @mirlenyjerez! I hope seeing this skin inspires her to do a cosplay. Finally, we have Great Bear Druid, who looks very stylish in that Easter outfit. I didn't buy the second legendary skin because, given its cost and the fact that I don't already have that card in my deck, I didn't think it was worth it.

La última rara que compré fue Time Bandit, no se porque le tengo un cariño especial a esta carta, quizás sea porque es la única carta rara que tengo en lámina negra, pero con ella ya complete todas las skins raras y comunes de esta colección. Luego fui con las compras fuertes, Lady Amara se ve espectacular con ese Skin, me recordó a mi estimada @mirlenyjerez! Espero que al ver esta skin se anime hacer un cosplay. Por último tenemos a Great Bear Druid que se ve con mucho estilo en ese outfit de pascuas, la segunda skin legendaria no la compré ya que por su costo y además de no tener esa carta en mi mazo consideré que no valía la pena.

Ultimately, my favorite skins are Ulundin Overseer Lady Amara and Great Bear Druid. I think they're the ones that best fit the Easter theme. The rest aren't as outstanding, like Fenmoor Wood Troll (Common Earth) or Spinetail Fiend, which honestly look grotesque, although I think that might have been the intention since one was of Fiend lineage and the other Bruteborn.

En definitiva mis skins favoritas son las de Ulundin Overseerm Lady Amara y Great Bear Druid creo que son las que más relación tienen con la temática de pascua, el resto no son tan sobresalientes como Fenmoor Wood TrollFenmoor Wood Troll Common earth o Spinetail Fiend que honestamente se ven grotescos aunque creo que quizás esa era la idea ya que uno era de linaje fiend y el otro bruteborn.

With 90,000 Glints, we bought the equivalent of 300 common cards. That was the limit I had set for myself to finish upgrading my common cards to level 6 in Modern. This was the reason why I didn't feel too guilty about spending 40,000 Glints on skins. With 300 common cards, I considered upgrading common cards complete for now.

Con 90K en Glints compramos el equivalente a 300 cartas comunes, era el límite que me había propuesto para terminar de upgradear mis cartas comunes hasta el nivel 6 en moderno. Esta fue la razón por la que no me dio tanto remordimiento gastar 40K Glints en Skins con 300 cartas comunes ya daba por cerrado el upgrading de cartas comunes por ahora.

We finally did it! Of the 12 cards, 11 of the common ones easily reached level 6, and one of them, Stenebind Matron, even reached level 7. Only one remained at level 5: Thornmaw Berserker. It's not a card I use much, so I can afford to wait until I get them in chests when I climb the leagues.

Al final lo logramos, de las 12 cartas, 11 de las comunes alcanzaron sobradamente el nivel 6 y entre ellas una el nivel 7: Stenebind Matron. Solo 1 de ellas se mantuvo en nivel 5: Thornmaw Berserker, no es una carta que use mucho así que puedo darme el lujo de esperar a que me salgan en cofres al subir liga.

We were also lucky enough to get 3 golden common cards, and I emphasize the word "lucky" because I didn't use my scarce alchemy potions, and we still managed to add a few more golden ones. We'll see what happens at the end of the next season, when I'll be making massive purchases of rare cards, and this time, I'll definitely open them with alchemy potions.

También tuvimos la suerte de conseguir 3 cartas comunes doradas, y remarco la palabra suerte porque aquí no utilicé mis escasas pociones de alquimia y aún así logramos sumar unas cuantas doradas más. Ya veremos cuando termine la próxima temporada, donde haré compras masivas de cartas raras y esta vez, si las abriré con pociones de alquimia.

With the few Glints we had left, we only managed to buy 2 rare reward cards. I thought about using potions for these, but then decided against it since it was only 2, and I was more interested in getting regular copies to see which cards I could level up.

Con los pocos Glints que nos quedaron solo nos alcanzó para comprar 2 cartas raras de recompensa, pensé en usar pociones aquí pero luego preferí no hacerlo ya que solo eran 2 y me interesaba sumar copias regulares para ver que cartas podía subir de nivel.

Luck smiled on us again with the Saltwraith Bulkhead life card. We've now managed to get it to level 2. At first, I despised cards with the "disabling" Weary ability; I hate leaving things to chance. I hope this helps you understand why I hate rulesets with scattershot or the more recent one that shuffles monsters on the battlefield. These things cripple the strategy design process, which in turn requires a deep understanding of the cards and their abilities. But in the case of this particular life card, or the neutral Halfling Refugee, with its good stats and low mana cost, it's a risk you can afford to take.

La suerte nos volvió a sonreir, con la carta de vida Saltwraith Bulkhead, ahora la logramos llevar a nivel 2, al principio despreciaba estas cartas con la habilidad "discapacitante" Weary, odio dejar las cosas a la suerte. Espero que con esto entiendan porque odio las ruleset con scattershot o la más reciente que desordena los monstruos en el campo de batalla, estas cosas mutilan el proceso de diseño de estrategias, que a su vez conllevan o exigen un profundo conocimiento de las cartas y sus habilidades. Pero en el caso de esta carta de vida en particular o la carta neutra Halfling Refugee por sus buenas estadísticas y bajo costes de mana, es un riesgo que puedes permitirte correr.

Well, esteemed community, with this I conclude my first season of Modern in April. I'm quite satisfied; I got the Eggstravaganza skins I wanted, and I've upgraded all my common cards to the level I really wanted them to be. Now I just need to focus my efforts on accumulating enough Glints to start buying rare reward cards in bulk. Bien estimada comunidad con esto cierro el balance de mi primera temporada de abril en Modern, estoy bastante satisfecho, me hice con las Skins Eggstravaganza que deseaba, ya subí todas mis cartas comunes al nivel que realmente quería tenerlas y ahora solo queda enfocar mis esfuerzos en acumular la suficiente cantidad de Glints para comenzar la compra masiva de cartas raras de recompensa, creo que este proceso me tomará de aquí hasta mediados de Julio, para luego dedicarme con las cartas épicas.
