Hello there! It is great to see you again. For now, we have a nice group of hosts, so no need of any new application. For the next hangout, we will have no one as the invited host. Also, don't forget that 3 posts from our members who participate in the new hangout will be considered for curations
Last session, we discussed the topic:
TECHNOLOGY TO THE RESCUE
We always like to talk about technology and last week wasn't different. Technology is part of our lives, and Hive is part of a technology innovation, so most of the community loves technology. We discussed how our daily use of technology is and how dependent we are nowadays. It was a pleasant discussion on the limits of usage.
THIS WEEK'S TOPIC:
LAWS WE DIDN'T VOTE FOR
We all have laws that make us question if it really makes sense. Some of them we just follow, some others maybe no one will notice if we are following it them or not? This is the opportunity to bring on the discussion table some examples that may not be so clear about the reason for their existence.
Discussion Questions:
- Is there a law in your country that you genuinely believe is unfair or simply makes no sense? What is it and why?
- Do you think citizens have a real voice in shaping the laws that govern them?
- Have you ever broken a law because you personally felt it was wrong?
- Are there laws that protect people on paper but fail them completely in practice?
- If you could rewrite or remove one law in your country tomorrow, what would it be and what would you replace it with?
