Five Minute Freewrite - Fee For Doing What?

Carlos got home feeling tired after the day's work in his rice farm. He went straight to the bathroom and had a quick hot bath. Thereafter he came out and applied some locally made pomade which energized him. He then came out at the veranda to rest while he awaits for the wife to bring his dinner.

He then remembered that he had earlier contacted Diego to fix the floor and door of his pen. He then got up to see whether Diego actually did the job. What he saw was nothing to write home about. He didn't say anything but quietly returned to his seat.

In no distant time Diego came to demand for his money - workmanship. Immediately Carlos saw him approaching the veranda he got up and asked Diego to go to the pen and have a second look at the job he claimed to have done. Diego was surprised and calmly requested for his money. "Fee for doing what exactly?" Carlos barked at him. "Look, it is either you go back and redo the job to my satisfaction or you'll get no money from me. I don't mind cash".

Diego was speechless as he kept looking at Carlos with disbelief. Carlos wife and children came out because the father's voice had attracted them all to the scene. They all pleaded with Diego to go home and return the next day believing that Carlos must have calmed down by them. Diego took their advice, bade them farewell and then left the compound.
