The Silent Power Of Patience, Faith And Strong Roots
Some people break in the storms of life and some manage to steady themselves even after falling apart every time. Have you ever thought about what the difference is? Today’s story is about a tree that never fell.
Far away, in the middle of the mountains there was a dense silent forest where even sunlight barely reached the ground. The wind would hit the leaves of the trees and create a strange whisper. In this same forest there was a tree that seemed ordinary but in reality it was extraordinary.

In this forest there were also some very tall trees. They took pride in their height. One tree said, Look at me I’m the tallest. Another said, And I’m the densest look at my leaves. They all made fun of that tree which was neither very tall nor very wide. This one is weak, it won’t last long. But that tree stayed silent.
One night, dark clouds covered the sky. The wind started to pick up and then suddenly a terrifying storm came. The wind was screaming the rain was pounding the ground. The tall trees that were proud just yesterday were uprooted with their roots. Some broke from the middle. And that tree. It bent, bent a lot but it didn’t fall.
Morning came. The scene of the forest had changed. Broken trunks and scattered branches lay on the ground. But that tree was still standing silent, strong and firm.
One day, a small bird came to this forest after a long journey. It was tired. It sat on a branch of that same tree to rest. After a few moments, it asked, I’ve seen the whole forest. There’s destruction everywhere. But why did you survive?
The tree answered slowly,I wasn’t always like this. When I was small, I also tried to grow upward. Like others, I also dreamed of being tall. But one day an old tree gave me a piece of advice. The old tree had said,Son if you want to become strong, don’t grow upward grow downward. Strengthen your roots because storms shake the branches, not the roots.
The tree explained, I put all my strength into the ground. My roots kept growing in the darkness. No one could see them. It was difficult because the world only looks upward. But I was patient.
When a storm comes the tree said, I don’t fight. I don’t make myself rigid. Instead, I become soft. I bend so that I don’t break.
The bird said in surprise, So the real strength is the one that isn’t seen?
The tree smiled, Yes, real strength is within.
The voice grows soft a human is also like this tree. Storms come in life: difficulties failures people’s criticism. If a person only relies on outward strength he breaks. But if his roots are strong meaning faith, patience, courage then he never falls.
Remember, in life the successful one is not the tallest but the one whose foundation is the strongest. When the roots are strong no storm can bring you down.
